Position: Environmental Consultant I
Arch Environmental Group is seeking an outgoing, self-motivated, and hard-working person to join our group of environmental professionals on the cleanWATER Environmental Team. The cleanWATER Environmental Team is a leading provider of industrial stormwater, wastewater, chemical hygiene and drinking water consulting services, as well as many other engineering and geological, environmental services to our clients throughout the State of Michigan. The position of is expected to prepare reports and manuals for a range of project types that meet the needs of AEG clients and potential clients. Support the development and implementation of new programs as well as assist with the continuation of existing programs. Develop and learn the skills needed to develop new projects, and new clients and develop budgets and proposals.

CAD Diagram Preparation
Chemical Hygiene Programs
Hazard Communication Programs
MAERS Reporting
Tier II Reporting
UST Class A/B Inspections
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide expert assessment and advisory services for clients on matters pertaining to the management of environmental issues.
Perform environmental compliance assessments and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Prepare reports for companies, environmental agencies, and government bodies
Meet deadlines established by the team and Client.
Other duties as assigned and required
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in science related discipline
2-5 years of relative education and experience
3+ years of full-time work experience in the environmental or related field or High School diploma, GED, or equivalent with 5+ years of full time work experience the environmental or related field
Hold one or more professional certifications
Working knowledge of environmental regulations
Proficient understanding and experience with computers and common software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat or similar PDF programs.
Ability to handle and manage multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously
Ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures
A willingness to occasionally modify personal schedules as required to meet project deadlines and/or client needs
Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as required to complete projects
Ability and willingness to travel to project sites in Pennsylvania and Indiana
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly
Must hold a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status must be presented prior to the start of work.
Preferred Qualifications Optional:
Work experience in a consulting firm
Experience with AutoCAD and/or experience with ArcGIS, as well as other team/company specific software
OSHA certified for OSHA Emergency Response (40-hour HAZWOPER)
Training/certification for OSHA Confined Space Entry
Certified Industrial and/or Construction Site Stormwater Operator
Knowledge of spill prevention and preparedness regulations
Knowledge of regulated waste management standards and practices
