    Job Description

    AECOM is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer in Kenova, WV to work with engineering and science teams and lead tasks at remediation sites (O &G, industrial, and municipal ) undergoing subsurface investigation and remediation of LNAPL, soil, and groundwater contamination. Responsibilities include organizing, planning, and executing tasks related to remediation systems engineering design, operations, maintenance, and monitoring; modeling and analysis of subsurface conditions and remediation performance; interfacing and writing reports to clients and regulatory agencies. This position will involve a combination of office and field work to support projects.

    We seek a technically proficient individual with engineering experience that demonstrate the ability to communicate project methods and results in a clear, concise manner. Excellent communication, problem solving, and organization skills are desired for integration into our collaborative team-oriented offices. The individual should have a relevant environmental engineering background with an engineering degree in an appropriate discipline. This position includes potential for growth to senior engineering and project management and or group management responsibilities. Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

    • Project and task support, report writing, cost estimating, remedial systems design support.
    • Qualified candidates must be comfortable with periodic travel.
    • Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or other related field and 4 years of experience, or demonstrated equivalency of education and or experience.
    • This role is subject to Background, MVR and Drug & Alcohol pre-employment screening
    • US Citizenship is required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong technical and business writing skills; strong communications skills Commitment to personal safety and safety and health of team members
    • Commitment to producing quality work and work products in accordance with principles of quality management
    • Project experience working with private sector clients, state and local clients, and/or federal and DOD clients
    • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of assignments and produce required out
