Environmental Engineer
(La Porte, TX)
A large chemical company needs a senior environmental engineer to manage all aspects of their emissions/Title V permitting, monitoring, MACT, etc.
Note: does not need to be an "engineer"; but needs degree.
Summary:
- Manage all aspects of site emissions permitting
- Work with site EHS Director, Ops Director, Corporate (off site) team, etc.
- Identify issues and manage and/or assist in addressing
- Address any violations with regulators
- Significant understanding other aspects of environmental issues and programs
- Able to understand and comfortable working with a classic organic chemical manufacturing facility
- Manage appropriate contractors to effect emissions sampling and analysis and others as necessary
- Qualifications/skills, etc
- Degree in appropriate engineering – environmental, chemical, etc.
- At least 5 years in chemical/petrochemical manufacturing
- At least 5 years in air/emissions permitting programs
- Have at least some experience with some form of continuous emissions monitoring system (CEMS)
- Must have worked with environmental controls
- Direct experinece with regulators in Texas/Harris County great.
- MUST be willing and able to work in an active and spread-out operation
- Will not need now, or in the future, any form of visa or sponsorship.
Salary: $135,000 - $160,000
