    Position Overview:

    In this critical role, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing our environmental programs and policies, ensuring full compliance with all relevant government and environmental regulations, including EPA standards. Your experience with Title V air permitting and consent decrees is essential, as these are key aspects of the role. You will conduct employee training, respond to emergencies, investigate incidents, and recommend corrective actions. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance on environmental issues related to operations and equipment, and ensure timely completion of all required federal, state, and local government reports.

    As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will work closely with plant team members to address environmental and regulatory issues, participate in incident investigations, and conduct root cause failure analyses. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining our commitment to environmental compliance and fostering a strong safety culture.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 4 years of experience in analyzing environmental regulations within heavy industrial sectors such as cement, refractories, chemicals, refineries, or fertilizers.
    • Must have experience with Title V air permitting.
    • Must have experience with consent decrees.
    • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of promoting safety and environmental compliance.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with operations and maintenance teams to solve problems.
    • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and permits, including but not limited to CAA, CWA, RCRA, DOT, EPCRA, and TRI.
    • Certifications such as EPA Opacity Reading, DOT Certification, HAZWOPER, and ISO 14001 are a plus.
