    Location: Lansing or Detroit, Michigan

    About the Role

    As an Environmental Project Manager, you will oversee complex projects in remedial investigation, feasibility studies, contaminant mitigation, and site remediation. Working with diverse clients, from the public and private sectors to military contracts, you'll guide projects from inception to completion, ensuring the highest standards in quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage projects and maintain clear communication with clients across Michigan and the Midwest, covering public, military, and private sectors

    Lead and execute projects, including Remedial Investigations/Feasibility Studies, exposure mitigation, and site remediation

    Mentor and guide team members to ensure project quality, safety, schedule, and budget adherence

    Review project deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance with government and industry standards

    Collaborate on quarterly projections, invoicing, and closeouts with Department and Division Managers

    Ensure compliance with environmental design, reporting, and production standards

    Actively engage in civic and professional organizations to further environmental initiatives

    Job Requirements

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field

    Minimum 10 years of relevant field and project management experience

    OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification

    Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills

    Hands-on experience with soil, soil vapor, surface water, and groundwater investigations

    Proficiency in developing Conceptual Site Models, Feasibility Studies, and Pilot Studies

    Expertise in remedial design, system construction oversight, and operations and maintenance

    Ability to conduct fieldwork, following safety protocols

    Preferred Qualifications

    Familiarity with Michigan Public Act 451, Part 201 and Part 213

    Experience with Brownfield Redevelopment grants, building demolitions, site due care, and Michigan Act 381 workplans

    Knowledge of Real Estate Due Diligence and Michigan Baseline Environmental Assessments

    Expertise in PFAS

    OSHA Construction Safety training

    Familiarity with Michigan environmental regulations and experience working with local agencies.
