    Job Description

    HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

    • Provide support to the ESH Manager with the implementation of hazard and management processes of the site
    • Join a dynamic team while ensuring compliance and continuous improvement of the Environmental, Health and Safety programs
    • Learn about the fundamentals of Environmental Health and Safety requirements, as well as gain knowledge of and interact with other business professionals throughout the internship
    • Conduct and assist Risk Assessment of tasks for site personnel (PPE, Spot Check Walkdowns, Hazards of Equipment, Routine/Non-Routine tasks)
    • Create and perform awareness activities for site personnel that will engage personnel in a ESH Culture. ****
    • Update the Hazardous Substances Program (ChemTrec, SDS updates, SOC, SVHC)
    • Enforce site and regulatory ESH policies
    • Support the Waste Reduction Project and Recycling program
    • Support ISO 14001 & 45001 Management Systems Programs

    THE ENVIRONMENT

    • Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures and guidelines must always be adhered to. Applicants must be able to work in a manufacturing industrial environment and be able to wear personal protective equipment such as safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

    • Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student in a U.S. accredited college, university or technical college, with a minimum GPA of 2.8. Pursuing a degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or related field (e.g., Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, etc.)
    • High/Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
    • Strong/Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
    • Strong/Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
    • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients.
    • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
    • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
    • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
    • Paid full-time summer internship
