    POSITION PURPOSE:_**
    The purpose of this position is to review information generated by subcontract analytical laboratories to ensure that environmental chemistry data were generated in accordance with EPA, DOE and DOD guidelines, project plans, and industry standard methods.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Validate analytical chemistry data following national standards and company procedures.
    • Ensure proper preparation, preservation, and laboratory operations for the assigned methods.
    • Prepare comprehensive written reports and checklists with findings.
    • Quickly and accurately operate databases and spreadsheets.
    • Monitor workflow for incoming client requests and manage backlog and achieve due dates.
    • Manage time spent and other performance metrics as requested by supervisor.
    • Communicate in timely and effective manner with peers and supervisors.

    ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • May be asked to assist project teams to select analytical methods, evaluate laboratory proposals, establish QA/QC requirements, and coordinate laboratories to ensure data meets client requirements and project data quality objectives

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: **
    Education and Experience:**

    • Bachelor of science in environmental, chemistry or similar; or 4 years' experience working in analytical laboratories.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of the principles and standards of scientific study, field investigation, sampling, experimentation, quality assurance of chemical measurements, and documentation.
    • Ability to describe technical information with clear and concise language to produce error-free written reports.
    • Ability to follow technical guidance and perform basic mathematical calculations.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines concurrently, including prompt communication of potential delays.
    • Ability to understand analytical procedures, laboratory operations and raw data reporting.
    • Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team.
    • Basic proficiency with business writing, office automation and communication software, technology, and tools.
    • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
    • Demonstrates excellent cross-functional team collaboration skills.
    • Consistently displays a positive/respectful attitude toward supervisors and peers.
    • Shares knowledge readily and participate in team communication and activities.
    • Works in a highly organized manner and with strong attention to detail.
    • Demonstrates integrity and a commitment to quality.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Laboratory experience including knowledge of analytical methods and SOPs and experience operating analytical instruments.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    Ability to work extensively using computer screens and keyboard.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
    Indoor office environment.
