    Summary

    Delta Oaks Group is seeking an individual to complete various environmental reports, including associated field operations as required, comprising Phase I ESAs and environmental regulatory documentation involving NEPA, ESA, CWA, and NHPA. Interested candidates should have experience in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, regulatory permitting, and facilitating project approvals within the telecommunications, renewable energy, commercial, and governmental sectors.

    Positional Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Phase I ESAs, NEPA, Endangered Species Act, Section 401/404 of the CWA, Section 106 of the NHPA, and additional regulatory permitting processes. Familiarity with the specific requirements and procedures related to telecommunication infrastructure, renewable energy projects, commercial developments, and governmental facilities is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role involves coordinating with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to include federal, state, local, and tribal agencies.

    Assist in the preparation of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, including performing site inspections, reviewing historical and regulatory records, and interviewing stakeholders to assess potential environmental concerns

    Assist in conducting NEPA Reviews and Environmental Assessments in accordance with NEPA requirements for the FCC. This includes site inspections for threatened and endangered species and wetland indicators

    Assist in performing informal biological assessments to evaluate potential impacts on threatened and endangered species in coordination with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

    Assist in coordinating with State Historic Preservation Offices (SHPOs), Tribal Historic Preservation Offices (THPOs), and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with Section 106 requirements

    Assist with Clean Water Act (CWA) compliance and wetland permitting, as well as other regulatory tasks as needed

    Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of Civil/A&E/Environmental deliverables, thoroughly assessing materials for accuracy and clarity in the regulatory assessment and consultation process

    Due to the nature and limited timelines of most projects, the selected individual should be willing and capable of exhibiting the work ethic and social ability to succeed in a fast- paced environment where communication with co-workers and strategic partners is paramount.

    Experience/Minimum Requirements

    Proven experience in field work involving environmental assessment site reconnaissance and/or threatened and endangered species surveys or habitat assessments

    Familiarity with ASTM E1527-21 and ASTM E2600-22

    Knowledge of Section 106 TCNS

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

    Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.

    Must be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions including demanding outdoor conditions and terrain
