Job Description:

Allied Handling Equipment is seeking a dedicated Equipment Installation Assistant to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of dock and industrial door equipment at customer sites. This is a hands-on position that requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation of loading dock equipment, including dock levelers, seals/shelters, gates, sectional doors, rolling steel doors and fire doors
• Support troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical components.
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow installation plans and instructions provided by lead technicians.
• Ensure work areas are clean and organized after installations.
• Adhere to company and customer safety protocols at all times.
• Drive company vehicles as needed to job sites (valid driver’s license required).

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license (required).
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge and skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
• Willingness to travel locally to customer sites as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
