    Position Description

    The Equipment Support Specialist will provide logistics support to the Program Office Lead and other Equipment Support Specialists at Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany Georgia. The mission of Portfolio Manager (PfM) Logistics Combat Element Systems (LCES) is to equip and sustain the Fleet Marine Force with Engineering, Supply, Maintenance, Ammunition and Tactical Wheeled Vehicle systems and solutions to enable lethality. The programs within PfM LCES cover all phases of the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition process. This position is primarily assigned to support Program Manager Supply and Maintenance Systems (PM SMS). PM SMS provides a wide range of equipment and support including: Expeditionary Medical Systems, Shelters, Combat Field Feeding, Containers, General Purpose Tools and Test Systems - Calibration, Automatic Test Systems, and Corrosion Prevention and Control.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide logistics support to the Program Office Lead and other Equipment Specialists at Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, GA.

    • Process DLA 339’s and NAVMC 10772’s,

    • Track and monitor condition codes and equipment location, updating databases as required when a

    change is noted,

    • Validate on-hand serial numbers to match AIS data,

    • Serve as the Logistics, Provisioning, and Technical subject matter expert,

    • Compile, maintain, and analyzing data for tools, parts, components, and standardized maintenance

    procedures needed for efficient field use and maintenance,

    • Prepare and support the development, upgrade and modification of logistics documentation such as

    supply instructions, technical instructions, modification instructions, and disposal plans,

    • Assist in the development of repair manuals and technical bulletins and overseeing the completion of

    Cataloging Action Requests and supply catalog data/information,

    • Interface with Logistics Managers and Inventory Managers at Marine Corps Logistics Command,

    • Maintain, update, and perform Cataloging Action Requests-Table of Organization and Equipment

    Change Requests (CAR-TOECR) for equipment within the Total Force Structure Management System,

    • Develop, provide input, and submit for review, documentation required to meet contract obligations.

    • Other activities as directed by the LTE Program Manager

    Education/Experience

    This position requires at least four years’ experience in the specific field and a bachelor’s degree (or

    eight-years applicable work experience). Must be fluent with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.

    Certifications Desired:

    ACQ 101 – Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management

    LOG 100 – Life Cycle Logistics Fundamentals

    CLL 011 – Performance Based Logistics (PBL)

    Reports To

    This position will report to the Government Lead Logistician for PM SMS for daily tasks and assigned LTE Program Manager.

    There is no clearance requirement for this position.

    Travel Requirements

    Travel is anticipated to be 25% - 30% within the continental United States.
