About the Role As an Escrow Assistant, you'll work closely with our Escrow Officers and Escrow Manager to deliver seamless and professional service to clients. Your role will evolve based on your skills, knowledge, and the needs of the Escrow Officer you support. Responsibilities: Your day-to-day will include: • Prioritizing tasks in coordination with your Escrow Officer. • Delivering outstanding customer service to clients and walk-in visitors. • Handling phone inquiries with professionalism (answering before the 3rd ring!). • Processing file status reports, mail, and banking as needed. • Preparing and maintaining essential documents such as escrow instructions, amendments, and opening packages. • Ordering title reports, demands, and hazard insurance while ensuring timely follow-ups. • Facilitating the signing, preparation, and distribution of key documents like loan packages and reconveyances. • Assisting with recordings, closing out escrows, and covering your Officer’s desk when they’re unavailable. Qualifications: • A strong commitment to customer service excellence • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; able to handle confidential information • A proactive attitude and eagerness to take initiative • Willingness to learn and adapt to industry best practices • Team Player • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications • Ability to deal with multiple types of roles such as real estate sellers, buyers, agents, and brokers • 2 + years of previous escrow assistant verifiable experience is required • Bilingual (English and [Spanish]) strongly preferred to better serve our diverse customer base • Mobile home/Manufactured home escrow experience is a plus but not required • Current California Notary Public or ability and willingness to obtain is required • Must pass DFPI and DOJ Background Check • High school diploma required — work experience or college degree preferred • Must possess proficiency in escrow/title software - Qualia experience is a plus • Understanding of mortgage loans, title commitments, title insurance, and real estate contracts • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must Compensation: $47,000 - $52,000 yearly
