We are on the lookout for an Associate Attorney to join our team. In this role, you will represent clients in legal proceedings in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and oversee your own caseload of Elder Law and Estate Planning matters. A typical day will involve conducting face-to-face consultations and then guiding a team comprising a paralegal and support staff on a client's legal requirements. This position also offers a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities: • Represent clients in Chancery Division and Law Division in New Jersey and Register of Wills and Orphan's Court in Pennsylvania • Draft and prepare various estate planning documents including but not limited to Wills, Estates, Power of Attorney and Living Wills, Trust, and Guardianship pleadings • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal standards and regulations in the practice of Elder Law and Estate Planning • Manage administrative and management functions related to the practice of law, ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction • Advise clients on business and legal transactions • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes Qualifications: • We are looking for an attorney who practices in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania • A minimum of four (4) years of legal experience is needed • A minimum of 2-3 years of Elder Law and/or Estate Planning preferred • Familiarity with various legal documents • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to build rapport with clients • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel • Go-getter with a strong work ethic • Knowledge of Amicus Attorney Case Management Software is a plus but not required • Conveys confidence in person, phone, and in court • Shows empathy to clients and puts them at ease during their challenging times • Demonstrates exceptional communication skills • Detail-oriented - quality and precision-focused • Outcome-oriented - results-focused with a strong performance culture • Stable - traditional, stable, strong processes • Team-oriented - cooperative and collaborative • Honesty – Instills respect for all and is ethical/trustworthy in all of the firm’s actions
