Miller Law Group, a premier family law firm in New York, is searching for a unicorn—an experienced estate planning attorney who also has an interest in family law and mediation. Responsibilities: • Draft Estate Planning Documents : Create customized wills, trusts, and powers of attorney that reflect clients' specific needs, wishes, and long-term goals. • Conduct Legal Research and Analysis : Stay informed about current estate and tax laws and conduct thorough research on complex estate planning issues related to family law. • Represent Clients in Probate Proceedings : Advocate for clients in probate court and ensure the fulfillment of their estate planning documents, addressing any disputes that may arise. • Provide Comprehensive Legal Advice and Counsel : Educate and guide clients on estate planning strategies, including the implications for taxes and family law matters, and assist in mediation when necessary. Qualifications: Who you are: • A skilled estate planning attorney with experience in wills, trusts, probate, estate administration, and tax planning. • Knowledgeable in estate tax strategies and planning for high-net-worth individuals and families. • Interested in the human side of the law—helping families make sound legal and financial decisions that align with their values and long-term goals. • Open to working at the intersection of estate planning and family law, recognizing how these areas impact clients in deeply personal ways. • Drawn to mediation and collaborative approaches to resolving conflicts and helping families plan for the future.
