What we offer: • Health, vision, and dental insurance • Life insurance • Quarterly team activities (for example, in the last year, we have taken the team to Disneyland, to ride go-karts, bowling, to Knott's Berry Farms, lunches, etc.) We work really hard, but we try to make work fun too! • Car washes monthly • 401(k) after 1 year of service • Paid time off • Bonuses based on workload and performance Our Firm Culture: • Detail-oriented -- quality and precision-focused • We provide amazing customer service and are a busy firm • Outcome-oriented -- results-focused with strong performance culture • Stable - strong processes • Team-oriented - cooperative and collaborative Responsibilities: • Drafting Legal Documents – Prepare wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and other estate planning documents with great attention to detail, but under attorney supervision. • Recording and Managing Deeds – Draft and record deeds with the appropriate county offices, ensuring property transfers align with the client’s estate plan. • Client Meetings and Communication – Meet with clients to gather information, review documents, explain processes, and answer non-legal advice questions. • Case Management – Maintain organized client files, track deadlines, and ensure timely completion of tasks. • Coordination with Team Members – Work closely with attorneys, administrative staff, and other team members to ensure each client’s estate plan is properly executed. • Document Execution and Notarization – Arrange for clients to sign documents properly, ensure notarization, and witness signatures as needed. • Client Follow-Up and Maintenance – Assist with ongoing client needs, including updating estate plans, funding trusts, and coordinating beneficiary designations. • Correspondence and Communication with Third Parties – Coordinate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to align estate plans with financial strategies. • Technology and Software Management – Utilize estate planning software, case management systems, and document automation tools to streamline workflows. Qualifications: Required: • Minimum 3 years of estate planning drafting experience , including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents. • Strong proficiency in drafting and preparing legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail. • Experience with deed preparation and recording. • Ability to manage multiple client matters efficiently and meet deadlines. • Excellent organizational skills and ability to track case progress. • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and professional correspondence. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software. • Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and team members. • High level of diligence, accuracy, and attention to detail—this is the most critical quality for success in this role. Preferred: • Experience using WealthCounsel or similar estate planning software for document automation. • Knowledge of the funding of trusts. • Familiarity with financial institutions, real estate transactions, and beneficiary designations related to estate planning. • Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain one). Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 including bonuses
