This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the assembly of construction bids. Primary responsibilities include the reviewing OST take offs, bid documents, interpreting specifications, and applying into proposal via our estimating software. Also, identifying conflicts/delivering RFI’s to clients, and communicating project specifics to Project Managers. In addition, the employee will be called upon to attend pre-bid meetings (on- site or off-site), prepare pre-construction documents for field team, assist in preparing change orders and other miscellaneous functions.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly bid log schedule. Adjusting workloads as necessary to ensure all deadlines are met
Utilize technology to create take-off quantities efficiently and accurately, interpret gathered information to assemble complete proposal documents that encompass the entire project scope.
Prepare and present complete proposals, PCO, or addendum communication to Project Managers.
Maintain, compile, organize and analyze project-related documentation
Communicate with purchasing department and project lead on material price increases/ quantity adjustments
Compute technical information and measurements into useable data
Interact with team members to develop solutions with expediency
Skills & Qualifications
2+ years in the landscape / irrigation construction industry
2+ year estimating landscape & irrigation projects from scaled drawings and irrigation design build
High School Diploma, College Degree preferred
Working knowledge of architect and engineer scales
Mathematically proficient – volumes, area, conversions
Organized – strong emphasis on working multiple projects with concurrent schedules / detail oriented
Communication skills – both written (e-mail) and verbal (phone)
Proficient in the use of computers and their various software platforms (MS Office, OST (On Screen Takeoff), etc.), internet (cloud) based platforms) as well as other technologies.
Prefer candidate with actual field experience in both landscape and irrigation installation.
