Our family owned and operated company is currently seeking a Estimator to join our team at our Prairieville Location!
The Estimating Department is the lifeline of our growing business. This position is scheduled Monday -Thursday 7am – 4:30pm and Friday 7am – 3:30pm with occasional overtime required.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform take-offs, identify relevant drawings and details, and review specifications
- Identify door and hardware products that gives us a competitive advantage while still meeting the requirements of the project
- Efficiently communicate and work with customers, vendors, and architects to be sure we are providing the best solution to meet the needs of the project.
- Accurately input door, frame, and hardware info into estimating software (Comsense)
- Provide clear and precise proposal to customer
- Follow-up on all bids to ensure customer is happy with scope and price.
Preferred
- Experience reading plans & specifications
- Experience using industry specific estimating software (Comsense or Pro-tech)
- Familiar with Construction Industry
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook & Bluebeam
- Excellent mathematical aptitude & problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively perform in an advanced, fast-paced environment both individually as well as part of a team
- Needs to be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, positive and helpful demeanor and possess excellent customer service skills.
- Must pass drug and alcohol screen and successfully complete random screens
