    Summary of Role

    Commercial Window Covering Estimator / Project Manager will oversee and manage commercial window covering estimating and project completion. The position will assume responsibility for delivering projects from pre-design and estimating phase through the construction phase. The job includes building relationships with builders, architects, designers, property managers, developers, commercial real estate companies, government agencies, schools, public agencies, etc. to foster commercial projects.

    Responsibilities

     Take-offs, quoting, estimating, and bidding of commercial shading / window treatment projects.
    
     Scope review of window treatment bids with General Contractors.
    
     Detailed understanding and management of relevant scope of work and all product offerings.
    
     Design, coordinate, and manage related scopes and associated subcontractors (e.g., low voltage cabling, mounting/backing, third-party integrations, etc.).
    
     Planning and scheduling of project bids / submittals throughout the pre-construction phases of a project to ensure deadlines are met.
    
     Understand the specifications, scope, and constructability of each project.
    
     Ability to understand all aspects of any motorized and automated architectural shading systems.
    
     Creation of submittal packages including product data, product schedules, shop drawings, etc.
    
     Manage change orders, contract revisions, and project costs.
    
     Manage project progress and facilitate detailed reports between project teams and clients.
    
     Responsibility and ownership of project financial performance and accounting / invoicing.
    
     Participate in lead generating activities including working with builders, architects, designers, property managers, developers, commercial real estate companies, government agencies, schools, public agencies, etc. to foster commercial projects. 
    
     Offer exceptional customer service and window covering function and design advice as solicited.
    
     Accurately measure windows and place orders for products.
    
     Coordinate job details with installers and assist with certain installs when necessary.
    
     Document all sales communications.
    
     Follow up on all leads and pending sales to closure.
    
     Follow up with all commercial leads
    
     Follow up with commercial customers including resolving any issues to ensure they love their window coverings.
    
     Coordinate with vendors, installers, and office support.
    
     Stay current on window treatment trends and product changes.
    
     Participate in weekly meetings and vendor, corporate, team trainings.
    
     Always strive to improve customer eXperience and build both business and personal brand. 
    
     Follow all company policy and procedures. 
    
     Other duties as assigned.
    

    Qualifications

     Must be people-oriented, charismatic, self-motivated, outgoing, and enthusiastic.
    
     Excellent clean driving record.
    
     Must pass background check and drug test.
    
     Strong math skills; familiar with profit margins.
    
     Proficient in MS Office.
    
     Experience using a CRM strongly preferred. 
    
     Experience reading blueprints is preferred.
    
     Previous experience with invoicing is helpful.
    
     Honest, respectful and service oriented.
    
     Previous sales or customer service experience preferred.
    
     Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    
     Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving.
    
     Strong attention to detail.
    
     Capable of learning to use and read a tape measure.
    
     Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    
     Able to work independently and prioritize projects.
    
     Must commit to generating leads which includes working with builders, architects, designers, property managers, developers, commercial real estate companies, government agencies, schools, public agencies, etc. to foster commercial projects. 
    
     Must be a TEAM player.
    
     A passion for window coverings and design is a bonus.
    
     Knowledge and previous experience with window covering is nice but NOT a requirement.
    

    Physical Requirements

     Must be able to climb stairs and lift 25lbs.
    
     Must be ok measuring overhead and while on a 6-foot ladder.
    
     Able to stand, kneel, bend at knees, squat throughout the day.
    
     Able to sit at a desk comfortably while working on a computer for extended periods of time.
    
     Primarily working directly in commercial spaces; must be comfortable in these settings.
    
     Able to assist covering the office, showroom and trade shows including occasional Saturdays and some weekends.
    

    Compensation / Additional Considerations

     Gross annual wadges of $41,600 to $60,000 pending experience. 
    
     Additional 3% IRA match available.
    
     Work location is at our office; we do not offer remote work.
    
     We currently do not offer health benefits. We do partner with an independent insurance broker that has helped our team get excellent insurance at competitive rates. Please do not apply if health benefits are a primary requirement for your employment.
