SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed cost estimates for disaster recovery projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to FEMA guidelines.
- Evaluate project scope, materials, labor, and equipment requirements to provide comprehensive cost assessments.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure budgets align with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize FEMA's Grants Portal to document and manage project cost estimates with transparency.
- Review and analyze project data to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure financial compliance.
- Provide technical input for determination memorandums and appeals related to project costs.
- Stay updated with FEMA training requirements, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field with 5 years of experience in a related field or
- 10 years of experience in a related field.
- Completion of FEMA courses preferred:
- IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
- IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
- IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
- IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process
- IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals
- 7116: Program Delivery Manager
- 7117: Site Inspection
- Strong proficiency in cost estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction practices, materials, and cost standards.
- Work onsite in North Carolina.
- EOD Required.
