    Overview:
    We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, working closely with project managers and subcontractors to ensure budgets and timelines are adhered to. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and industry best practices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
    • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope and required resources.
    • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to review plans and ensure accurate estimates.
    • Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
    • Maintain and update cost databases to reflect changes in materials, labor rates, and market conditions.
    • Assist in developing project budgets and timelines based on cost estimates.
    • Participate in value engineering and cost-saving opportunities during the pre-construction phase.
    • Prepare bid proposals and presentations for clients.
    • Track and analyze actual project costs compared to estimates and provide feedback to improve future estimating accuracy.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a construction estimator in commercial construction.
    • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and labor costs.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
    • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
