    Job Description

    ABOUT THE TEAM

The Research team helps inspire product and business decisions, using data to improve the experiences of current and prospective Etsy customers. We advocate a user-centered approach to design in partnership with designers, product, and marketing teams across Etsy. Our research obsesses over understanding who we’re designing for, and how Etsy fits into their lives.

As our team grows, we’re looking for a Research Coordinator to join our small but mighty Research Operations team to further support our culture of continuous learning. In this role, you’ll own logistics for both our UX and Market research teams, recruiting and managing a healthy pipeline of participants for a variety of research studies. Put simply, you keep the train rolling and we can’t imagine how we’d do it without you.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Research Coordinator, you’ll support the team throughout the research lifecycle from end-to-end recruiting, screening, and scheduling efforts to streamlining research operations and team communications. You’ll manage relationships with existing external partners and vendors, and stay up to date on new industry tools and trends to vet and onboard new vendors when needed.

    YOUR DAY-TO-DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

    • Coordinating the recruiting and screening of participants for research studies

    • Managing the A-Z of logistics to keep research projects on track, such as:

      • Understanding recruit needs, and drafting and programming bespoke screeners

      • Owning schedule and communications with researchers and partner teams

      • Coordinating day-of logistics for testing days

      • Tracking and managing research operational items (e.g. NDAs, gift cards, facilities requests)

    • Managing external partners and vendors

      • Liaising with recruitment vendors to recruit prospective buyers and sellers

      • Identifying and vetting outside research partners and tools for the team

      • Owning the internal procurement and approval process

    • Collaborating on research synthesis and documentation

      • Partnering with researchers on note-taking, tagging and timestamping (for reporting and video pulls) to share research findings

      • Analyzing and summarizing notes, and pulling video clips for presentations

Many Etsy roles are open to remote candidates, and you'll be able to identify which ones within the location header of each job description. For candidates who will work remotely from Colorado, visit this link for information related to Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
