    Position overview:

    Eurasia Group is seeking a versatile analyst-level candidate based in to join our Consumer practice, covering the sectors of Consumer Goods, Retail, Corporate Responsibility and Branding. This role will combine direct client contact, project management, support in creating client deliverables for a practice focused at the intersection of business and geopolitics, covering the sector of consumer goods, apparel, and broader retail.

    The successful candidate will be able to efficiently organize, track, schedule, and coordinate a range of client-facing activities and deliverables for a fast-paced, dynamic practice.

    As a member of Eurasia Group’s Consumer practice, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Organizing, coordinating, and scheduling both internal and external calendars, briefings, and deliverables;
    • Skillful and clear direct client communication in English; both written and verbal is required;
    • Contribute to the development and delivery of client deliverables, such as policy trackers, reports, bespoke memos, presentations, or other similar client-facing output;
    • Organizing, structuring, and capturing research focused on policy and regulatory developments in support of Consumer & Retail research and client priorities;
    • Contributing to the design and execution of tailored projects addressing risks and opportunities to client firms;
    • Internal coordination and collaboration with other EG practices and colleagues in support of client work;
    • Ability to manage internal and external coordination for client logistical issues such as invoicing, contract management and research entitlements; and,
    • Support for internal workflow and reporting needs via Salesforce and other internal analytical tools.

    Additionally, we are seeking someone with strong research skills, the ability to create deliverables in PowerPoint, Word, etc., and a consummate team player. Given the varying nature of the needs of the practice and our clients, you will need to be a quick learner, always flexible, a versatile problem solver, and thrive in a team-first environment. Experience as a business or strategy consultant is a plus.

    • Fluency with PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel, and Salesforce.com CRM system.

    Requirements

    • Undergraduate/first-level degree (masters degree desired) with coursework in international affairs, technology or technology policy administration, engineering, business, or related field.
    • 4+ years of experience in professional services, consulting, or consumer goods/retail companies; client-facing experience is a plus.
    • Experience interfacing with multinational corporations.
    • A strong interest in international affairs and politics. Including an understanding of Eurasia Group’s core services.

    The position is based in Washington DC.

    The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
