  • Responsibilities

    As Manager of Events, you will assume the team lead for CASF's varied portfolio of networking, educational, and social events. If you're an ideal candidate, you're both self-motivated and a team player with proven experience managing high-profile events. You're methodical and organized to handle multiple deadlines and events. You're also flexible and creative to effectively manage resources and challenges. You enjoy interacting with people, you're good at solving problems and you don't mind rolling up your sleeves to pitch in where needed. All of our events are held Monday through Friday am, so you won't work weekends. This is a full-time, salaried position with a benefits package that includes: • competitive salary, based on experience • PTO time • Full medical and dental insurance • Matching 401(k) program Responsibilities: • Assume the team lead on event-related matters to ensure they align with CASF’s business objectives and professional standards. • Help develop and execute all aspects of 45-55 various events (annually), from planning and budgeting to registration, set-up and tear-down. • Manage event budgets and oversee resource allocation to ensure each event is delivered within budget and on time. • Lead negotiations with vendors, securing partnerships to ensure seamless event delivery • Help secure sponsors and manage deliverables • Help to create and manage effective event messaging and communication across all platforms (signage, collaterals, social media, etc.). • Act as an effective point of contact for event stakeholders. • Help foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • A bachelor’s degree or significant experience in a related field (communications, hospitality, marketing) is highly preferred. • At least 3-4 years of events-related experience with some background in corporate and/or nonprofit events. • Experience in contract negotiations and budget management. • Ability to work independently and consistently manage multiple priorities and deadlines. • Very strong interpersonal skills; must be a "people person". • Excellent time management and organizational skills. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), with an ability to learn and master new software applications. • Ability to work successfully as a team member and to maintain a positive work environment. • Ability to travel throughout the tri-county area. • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
