We are based in the heart of New York City, offering culinary programs that include meeting catering, office-wide meals, receptions, and events. We know and understand the key issues facing corporate dining, and we have the best solutions. Our custom 10,000 square foot commissary located in Bryant Park allows us to minimize your onsite back of house needs, resulting in food service that is nimble, lightweight, and cost-efficient. Our rapid growth has prompted us to seek qualified individuals that will be a positive addition to our tight-knit family and help shape the future of Savory.

    A little about the Role

    We are currently seeking an Events Manager to join the team at Savory Hospitality. Our ideal candidate will be someone who can effectively multi-task in the catering and events world because they are involved in every stage and process of an event, ensuring that it is executed successfully. The events manager will be responsible for providing effective oversight for event set-up and staff management. Event managers will also be working closely with sales & accounts managers, and company clients to achieve memorable and successful events.

    o Has at least 2 years of experience with high volume catering, restaurant, hospitality entities

    o Flexible and willing to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and holidays

    Qualifications:

    · Possess a bachelor’s degree in Event Management or any other relevant discipline, or possess cognate experience in event management

    · Fully knowledgeable about all of Savory’s events services, spaces, partnerships, and menu options

    · Demonstrates confidence and agility to resolving clients’ questions, comments, or concerns about Savory’s services/menu

    · Must have a keen eye and pay close attention to details (can anticipate, find, and solve difficulties)

    · Ability to build and foster relationships with individuals within the organization hosting the event to increase likelihood of return bookings

    · Ability to lead a team with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

    · Ability to envision the client’s passion & thoughts and transition them into reality

    · Proven track record of high-level planning, managing, and coordinating skills

    · Must be a great listener and possess high creative thinking capacity

    · Should possess good communication and negotiating skills

    · Able to display a high level of creativity

    · Working daily with multiple departments’ leads to help guide all daily and weekly events

    · Ability to engage in multi-tasking effectively

    · Ability to work well under intense, high-level pressure

    · Versatile and can transition from team-mode to solo-mode with ease

    · Must possess strong project management skills

    · Must possess computer skills. They should be able to use Microsoft office tools to prepare necessary materials (i.e., billing drafts, visual presentations)

    · Ability to use the multiple platforms in sending and receiving professional correspondence

    · Possess strong ability to take initiatives

    · Be able to make budgets for events
