Job Description

We are looking for a STAFF ACCOUNTANT specializing in PAYROLL AND GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE functions to join our team!  The Staff Accountant will demonstrate the following characteristics:

• Be a quick learner and change agent to drive change and influence members within the Accounting Operations team to support the company’s goals and objectives;
• Be accountable for the accuracy, integrity and oversight of billing and revenue reporting and general accounting; and,
• Update and improve policies and procedures to enhance operational/ transactional efficiency and effectiveness.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the following essential functions:

• Weekly payroll processing; 
• Claims management: coordinate with Operations Planning and others to obtain relevant information and submit to Third Party Administrator to manage company claims;
• Accounts payable processing;
• Other general and administrative processes;
• Learn all aspects of the business related to revenue and cost accounting and be a subject matter expert;
• Ensure general ledger and employee resources management applications are accurate and updated regularly;
• Create/ present weekly cash and A/P reporting metrics; and,
• Complete ad hoc assignments to accomplish overall company mission.

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or in a Business related concentration;
• Relevant experience in payroll, account payables and general account management; and,
• Relevant experience with QuickBooks or similar general ledger system.
