    Job Description

    SUMMARY

    Under general supervision, the Payroll & Benefits Administrator will be responsible for completing the Company’s monthly payroll process.  This position will oversee benefit and retirement plan enrollment and administration for all eligible employees.  In addition, the Payroll & Benefits Administrator will work with the Office Manager on creating and publishing clinical schedules for physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) across all clinical locations.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

     

    PAYROLL ADMINISTRATION

    1. Oversee the processing of monthly payroll
    2. Collect all payroll information, including hours worked, shift differentials, PTO, vacation, extra shift pay, and stipends, to prepare payroll
    3. Produce payroll reports for vendor processing; serve as primary point of contact for payroll vendor
    4. Ensure 401k loans, HSA deposits, and employee 401k deferrals are processed correctly each month

    RETIREMENT PLAN ADMINISTRATION

    1. Oversee day to day operations of the EMA Retirement Plan per plan guidelines
    2. Manage employee eligibility, including new entrants and terming employees
    3. Make monthly employer match contributions and quarterly profit-sharing contributions
    4. Work with Plan third-party administrator, fiduciary, and recordkeeper as needed

    BENEFIT ADMINISTRATION

    1. Conduct new hire orientations
    2. Introduce new employees to company benefit plans and assist employees with benefit questions
    3. Update new employee benefit selections with carriers and Intellicred
    4. Process benefit changes and employee information updates
    5. Participate in annual benefit renewal process
    6. Term all benefits for former employees and initiate COBRA process

     

    MISCELLANEOUS

    1. Organize and maintain employee professional and personnel files
    2. Perform employment verifications
    3. Serve as clinical scheduling backup for physicians and APPs across all practice locations

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree with previous experience in a medical office required
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

    Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs.  Frequent standing and walking is required.  Must be able to complete close eye work (typing, writing).
