Candidate Parameters:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5-10 years of administrative legal experience in a litigation practice.
- Comprehensive knowledge of litigation practice, including e-filing in federal and state courts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with technology.
- Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain composure and manage priorities effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong follow-up and follow-through skills.
- Discretion when handling confidential matters.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys as part of the legal support team.
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, trial, and post-trial.
- Edit and format documents and pleadings, including motions, memoranda, subpoenas, and agreements.
- Prepare and process electronic filings in federal and state court.
- Organize pre-trial activities, including preparation of witness binders, trial exhibits, and coordination of depositions.
- Maintain and organize case files and monitor docket calendars.
- Manage attorney calendars, scheduling meetings, teleconferences, and travel arrangements.
- Provide excellent telephone coverage, manage high call volume, and distribute messages appropriately.
- Build strong client relationships through courteous communication with clients and co-workers.
- Support day-to-day duties such as faxing, filing, copying, and messenger services.
- Handle attorney expense reports and time entries via Chrome River and Intapp systems.
- Assist with partner billing matters and prepare correspondence and presentation materials.
