    Self-Help Enterprises has an immediate opening for an Executive Assistant. Self-Help Enterprises is a nationally recognized community development organization whose mission is to work together with low-income families to build and sustain healthy homes and communities. Since 1965, Self-Help Enterprises’ efforts have touched the lives of over 65,000 families. Our service area is comprised of nine counties – Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tulare County – in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, the world’s most productive agricultural area.

    As an Executive Assistant, you will provide high-level administrative support to the President/CEO, the board of directors, and other members of the leadership team in the workplace, such as taking calls, scheduling meetings, managing executive requests, drafting correspondence, and performing other office duties. You will handle a variety of office functions, duties, and procedures despite frequent interruptions and distractions.

    The right candidate may be hired at any level (Tech 2, Tech 3, Executive Assistant.), depending on skill, education, and experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide general administrative services for the President/CEO, including composing letters, making appointments, making travel arrangements, etc.
    • Ensure administrative procedures are followed and systems function smoothly. Make recommendations for improvements.
    • Prepare and edit a wide range of correspondence, manage large-scale mailings, and record and prepare minutes for board meetings.
    • Communicate with the CEO regularly and assist in resolving procedural problems.
    • Coordinate activities across the organization.
    • Perform other duties as requested or as judgment dictates.

    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    • Demonstrate proficiency with general office software.
    • Demonstrate initiative, good judgment, and confidentiality.
