The Partnership’s upstream intervention model combines housing, rental assistance and crisis services with mental health, support and education programming to prevent people from losing their homes. Our services are available to New Yorkers of any ability, age, family type, gender, national origin, race and sexual orientation who are at risk of, experiencing or recovering from homelessness.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Assistant (EA) will direct the executive office functioning in line with The Partnership’s mission, values and services. Specifically, the EA will provide high-level administrative support to the CEO, coordinate functions across a multi-disciplinary staff, consultant and volunteer team and manage external stakeholder communications. A highly organized, proactive and fastidious individual, the EA is a strong communicator and has integrity and the ability to balance priorities, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality. The position is integral to maintaining the flow of the organization and driving the intersection of individual functions and projects for success.

Skills and Qualifications
Understanding of, and willingness to uphold, The Partnership’s values;
Bachelor’s degree; superior writing, advanced Excel and ability to create stellar print presentations;
6+ years of progressive administrative support experience, including 3+ years in an administrative support role for an executive office;
Must be able to work independently, and have proven experience with project management, developing and managing departmental and event budgets and overseeing and generating reports and analysis for senior staff;
Demonstrated ability to produce workplans and monthly reports, and experience researching information and writing and presenting analytical reports to inform planning and decision-making;
Experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders and commitment to fostering diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in a multicultural environment;
Solutions-focused, analytical thinker who has the ability and initiative to improve systems, anticipate and prevent problems, pivot and solve crises when necessary, handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and thrive in a small, hands-on environment with multiple priorities;
Excellent communication skills, bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus;
Proficient in MS Office software and CRM systems; Raiser’s Edge a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Based in our NYC office, the position works in a professional environment with low to moderate noise, involves routine use of office equipment (such as computers, phones, copiers and filing cabinets) and may involve travel and early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays as needed. Physical requirements of the position include maintaining a stationary position and focus for long periods of time; utilizing hands and fingers and reaching with hands and arms to operate office equipment; talking, hearing, seeing and exchanging accurate information via in-person, electronic, telephonic, virtual and written communications; and, typing, standing, walking, siting, stooping and lifting/moving up to 25 pounds. Compensation for this full-time, exempt role includes: $80K salary; generous PTO and benefits, including employer coverage of 100% of employee health insurance premiums (medical, dental, vision); disability; life insurance; transit; 401K with employer contribution; and a seasonal 4-day work-week.
