Responsibilities: • Provide guidance and direction to staff, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance to make the kitchen run efficiently • Teach recruits and hire staff that suit the business culture to provide a welcoming atmosphere for kitchen employees • Incorporate different ingredients in a creative way to produce fresh and innovative menu items and specials • Control department costs that are under your management, such as food, supplies, uniforms, and equipment, and work with vendors to get the best products at a cost-effective price • Supervise all food preparation in the kitchen, including procedures, portioning, garnishing, and ensure that all meals and dishes are attractively presented Qualifications: • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers • This role requires 7-8 years of culinary experience • Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification such as a GED • Outstanding management abilities, as well as experience leading, inspiring, and building a team • Candidates need a strong understanding of compliance with kitchen safety and food storage requirements
