As the Executive Director, you will be the driving force behind ASC's mission to inspire and cultivate a lifelong love of snow sports across our multi-discipline programs, athletes, staff, and facilities. This role involves a dynamic seasonal rhythm, with winter being our busiest time due to extensive programming and competitions, complemented by select summer activities. You will work closely with the Board of Directors to guide organizational growth, secure key funding milestones, and maintain exceptional service for our members and community. This leadership position demands an experienced individual with strong interpersonal communication, conflict management, and relationship-building skills, as you will manage a diverse team and collaborate with external organizations to achieve ASC’s mission. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: • Lead all aspects of the non-profit 501(c)(4) organization in collaboration with the Board of Directors. • Cultivate strong relationships with the Board, property lessors, government agencies, snow sports organizations, staff, athletes, and the community to ensure alignment with ASC’s mission and vision. • Oversee human resources, including management of a large, diverse team of employees and volunteers, while fostering a positive, inclusive work environment. • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and safety practices, with a focus on maintaining excellence during the high-demand winter season. • Streamline administrative systems, optimize daily operations, and enhance risk management training for staff to ensure efficient and safe program execution. • Direct and elevate marketing efforts, including public-facing communications, social media, branding, and relationship management with sponsors. • Facilitate collaboration and conflict resolution across staff, volunteers, and community stakeholders, maintaining a high standard of customer service and community engagement. • Support ASC Legacy, a separate 501(c)(3) entity focused on providing scholarships, grants, and infrastructure support. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, recreation, physical education, or a related field (preferred). • Proven leadership experience within snow sports coaching, administration, or the outdoor mountain sports industry. • Experience in developing and leading successful capital campaigns and fundraising programs (preferred). • Demonstrated passion for youth snow sports, with a successful history of leadership in non-profit or youth sports organizations. • Knowledge of Alpine, Snowboard, Nordic, and Biathlon disciplines. • Proven ability to manage large teams, communicate effectively, and resolve conflicts within a fast-paced, evolving environment. • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, capital projects, and contracting experience. • Effective communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to complete tasks on time and within budget. • Customer service skills and the ability to motivate and influence key stakeholders and community members. • Proficiency in technology, verbal and written communication, and public relations. • Ability to work effectively in winter weather conditions on or off skis/snowboards and lift up to 50 pounds. • Completion of USSS and other relevant certifications as required. • Successful completion of company and state employment requirements. Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 yearly
