    Job Description

    Faena New York is seeking an Executive Housekeeper who is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a hotel's housekeeping operations, including managing staff, ensuring cleanliness standards are met across all guest rooms and common areas, maintaining inventory of supplies, training new staff, and adhering to budget constraints, leading the housekeeping department while prioritizing guest satisfaction and upholding high quality standards of Faena New York.

    This position has an annual compensation rate of $115,000.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Staff Management: * Recruit, hire, and train housekeeping staff. * Assign cleaning tasks and manage staff schedules. * Supervise and evaluate staff performance. * Address employee concerns and provide performance feedback.
    • Quality Control:
      • Establish and enforce strict cleanliness standards for guest rooms and public areas.
      • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained.
      • Respond promptly to guest complaints regarding cleanliness
    • Operational Management:
      • Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures
      • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linen
      • Monitor and control housekeeping budget
      • Coordinate with other departments like maintenance to address repair needs
    • Guest Service:
      • Ensure guest requests related to housekeeping are handled promptly and efficiently
      • Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with guests
      • Address guest concerns regarding cleanliness in a timely manner
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or related industry
    • Minimum of 4 years experience in housekeeping or related fields
    • Leadership skills: Ability to motivate and manage a large team of housekeeping staff
    • Attention to detail: Strong focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness
    • Organizational skills: Efficiently plan and manage daily housekeeping operations
    • Communication skills: Effective communication with staff, guests, and other departments
    • Problem-solving skills: Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues related to cleanliness
    • Experience in hospitality industry: Prior experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping is preferred

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
    • Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces
    • Remain active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout work shift or prolonged standing for a period
    • Medium Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly moving objects, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
