Responsibilities
- Right hand and personal executive assistant to the lead partner
- Paralegal work on litigation cases
- Own the calendar: docketing, meeting deadlines, conference calls, hearings, trial dates, depositions, mediations, Zoom rooms, and personal appointments
- Handle attorney's extensive travel schedule
- Draft complaints, motions, notices, expert disclosures/reports
- Schedule hearings, depositions, and trial dates
- Create Trial binders and expert witness files
- Compile Depositions/Mediations/Hearing Notebooks
- Draft discovery requests and responses
- e-Filing in multiple states
- Coordinate and gather pre-suit information and experts
- Initiate necessary paperwork for client retention
- Preparation of pre-suit notices
- Draft complaints and petitions under the supervision of attorney
- Manage case files
- Legal research and drafting
- Communication with clients
- Trial and deposition preparation
- Attend and assist lawyers at trial
- Ability to work in a multi-state environments in terms of court filing/hearing procedures
- Administrative office management tasks and occasional errands
Qualifications - Litigation Paralegal
- Must be self-directed with the ability to work independently with little supervision. The lawyers are frequently out of town in trial in neighboring states.
- Resourceful and highly motivated with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Exceptional keyboarding, grammar, spelling and writing skills.
- The ability to field client calls. Client service is key to your success.
- Familiar working within an Apple computer environment.
- MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience preferred.
- Prior executive assistant experience.
- Bachelors degree or paralegal certification preferred.

- Base salary is dependent upon a number of factors, including years of litigation paralegal experience, education, certifications, job history, references, tenure, and skills.
