We require an effective supervisor who can produce innovative menus and recipes, oversee all food leaving the kitchen, and guarantee health and safety regulations are met. This position will also be responsible for working with our sales and catering team to execute large in-house banquet events. Responsibilities: • Teach recruits and hire staff that suit the business culture to provide a welcoming atmosphere for kitchen employees • Make decisions for daily culinary operations, including exceeding guest expectations and increasing revenue and profit • Ensure that all food preparation, including processes, portioning, and garnishing, is well supervised, and confirm that the finished dishes are visually appealing • Control department costs that are under your management, such as food, supplies, uniforms, and equipment, and work with vendors to get the best products at a cost-effective price • Provide guidance and direction to staff, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance to make the kitchen run efficiently Qualifications: • Strong leadership skills with experience leading, motivating, and developing a team • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and other team members • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification • At least 7-8 years of culinary experience • Understanding and compliance with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 annually
