We are seeking a skilled Exhibit Builder to join our fabrication team. In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to construct interactive exhibits, themed environments, and display structures from shop drawings and specifications. Essential Functions
Fabricate, assemble, and finish exhibit structures and displays using various materials to meet project needs.
Operate standard and specialty shop tools for precise construction and finishing.
Install exhibit components in both the shop and at client locations as needed.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure high standards and client satisfaction.
Prepare and finish structures using varied materials and techniques to achieve a high-quality look and feel.
Participate in team meetings and support Roto’s project operations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience or equivalent training in fabrication, cabinet making, construction, or a similar technical field.
Proven skill in fine carpentry, including cutting, joining, and preparing wood, plywood, and plastic materials.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with integrating mechanical or electromechanical devices into exhibits is a plus.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 100 lbs.) and work from lifts, ladders, and platforms.
Capacity to work in various shop conditions, including changing temperatures.
Comfortable with extended hours and able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
