Expanded Function Dental Assistants (EFDA)

The Position: Dental Assistants promote a healthier dental lifestyle by educating patients on ways to improve and maintain good oral health under a dentist’s supervision. They complete dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screening and radiography studies. Our Client is offering the following compensation and benefits:

• $25 to $30 Per Hour Salary Based on Experience
• Potential Bonus Structure
• PTO

Job Responsibilities

• 8:30 – 4:00 PM
• Part Time – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
• After 90 Days There is The Option to Work 4 Days a Week
• 5 to 10 Patients Per Day
• Running 2 Operatories
• Fee For Service Practice
• Patients of All Ages
• Perform tooth polishing and sealant application as permitted by Ohio law.
• Take and process digital radiographs (X-rays).
• Assist the dentist with restorative and prosthetic procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, sterilization, and OSHA/CDC protocols.
• Provide post-operative and oral hygiene instructions to patients.
• Document patient care, procedures, and materials used in treatment records.
• Ensure all instruments and materials are properly stocked and maintained.

Job Requirements

• Ohio Dental Assistant License
  
• 1 Year of Experience
