    We’re excited to announce that we’re on the lookout for a talented and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our wonderful legal team in Dallas, TX! This position offers a great mix of in-office and remote work, with office days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and sometimes on Thursdays, and the flexibility to work from home two to three days per week. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to draft important legal documents such as pleadings, motions, decrees, and orders. You’ll also conduct thorough legal research to support trial preparations and help keep our case files organized and accessible. Responsibilities: You should be proficient in drafting petitions, orders, discovery, and all other documents involved in family law. We utilize FormBuilder and have our own templates, but it’s essential that you can select the appropriate one and create the first draft independently.Family law can be quite complex, and there often isn't a clear right or best answer. Gathering information can also be challenging, so you will need to be creative, organized, and efficient to excel in this role.While we understand that mistakes can happen, a strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are crucial to avoid errors that could significantly impact clients.You will be managing multiple cases simultaneously over extended periods. It’s important to keep track of key dates, ensure that the right people are informed, and prioritize your time effectively to meet all deadlines.Please remember to treat every case with the same level of care and compassion, whether it’s 4:30 pm on a Friday or 9 am on a Monday morning. Clients are often under immense stress and anxiety, so your empathy and ability to help put them at ease will be invaluable.The ideal candidate will possess a growth mindset, the ability to relate to individuals in crisis, and a good sense of humor.In addition to casework, you will also perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and maintaining an organized case filing system to ensure all documents are easily accessible.You will assist lawyers in preparing for trial by organizing exhibits, helping with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and coordinating witnesses. Additionally, you will draft subpoenas and work with process servers.Your role will also involve assisting lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence, including interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits. Qualifications: • At least 5 - 7 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a family law firm setting is required. • Task-oriented. • We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running - We are not looking to train a paralegal, we want a paralegal who can train others. • We are a high-tech office and we all use Macs - This should not scare you, but you need to be able to use Apple products. • Talented communicator and writer. • Excellent organizational skills and time-management skills. • Talented communicator and writer. • ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired. Compensation: $65,000 - $90,000 yearly
