Crescent City Law (CCL) is a rapidly growing law firm in the New Orleans area that is seeking an experienced and motivated criminal paralegal to assist our attorneys in helping our clients. We are looking for someone who has compassion and empathy for the population we serve and a knack for helping to prepare winning cases. We want to create an all-star team, so we will provide you with training, guidance, compensation, and benefits commensurate with your experience. CCL represents the accused in criminal courts, we help people hide their criminal records with expungements, and we fight traffic tickets. The firm also helps people injured at work and in accidents. Customer Service and Clear Communication are important to the firm owner and to clients. [Read our Google Reviews to learn more about the type of experience we want clients to have!] We want referrals from happy clients, not repeat business from miserable ones. We strive to deliver an experience that is above and beyond that of our competitors! An ideal candidate will have experience with both criminal and civil cases but prefer criminal defense. A bilingual (Spanish) speaker with 2-5 years’ experience is strongly desired. You’ll assist our attorneys in the preparation of criminal defense (research, writing, reviewing police reports, and other tasks), expungement preparation, and preparing personal injury matters. Our paralegals have direct contact with clients. Since many of our cases are small, you will need to be able to transition from one project easily and efficiently to the next, but attention to detail is still paramount. You will get the job done accurately, complete tasks with minimal oversight, and provide the firm with at least 30 billable hours per week of client work. If you believe CCL is the right place to bring your unique set of skills, and a place where you will be rewarded for them, then please apply.
