We are a busy, patient-centered dental practice in North Jersey, dedicated to providing exceptional care and service to our community. We are now seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Billing Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Insurance Navigation: Research and navigate insurance policies, benefits, and exclusions to provide accurate information to patients.

EOB Review: Review and interpret dental Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), including patient deductibles, co-pays, and insurance/third-party correspondence.

Pre-Authorization Communication: Communicate pre-authorization requirements to patients in-office or via phone.

Patient Support: Assist patients in understanding their treatment plan details, billing, and payment options.

Dispute Resolution: Resolve billing discrepancies and claim denials through follow-up with insurance companies.

Financial Calculations: Ensure accuracy in calculating copays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket fees.

Financial Programs: Familiarity with Care Credit and other financial programs.

Patient Communication: Maintain clear communication with patients about treatment plans, billing, and insurance details.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of dental billing experience required.

Dental Knowledge: Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures.

Insurance Expertise: Extensive knowledge of PPO, Union, Med-Type, HMO, and DMO insurance plans.

Insurance Verification: Proficient in verifying insurance benefits and coverage.

Financial Calculations: Experience in calculating copays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses.

EOB Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret EOBs and patient ledgers.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Problem-Solving: Ability to research and resolve claims denials and billing issues efficiently.
