    Experienced Laser Operator

    Each candidate must bring 5-7 years experiene of Laser Cutting Experience, this is NOT an entry level role.

    Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

    • Ensuring safe working processes while abiding by following regulated state/local and Gallaher Industries safety guidelines and procedures.

    • Laser cutting of flat metal material into finished parts following customer and/or company programmer- supplied designs, using a Cincinnati CL-7 laser. Previous experience on Trumpf or Amada will be considered.

    • Identifying cutting programs to determine the best fittings to use.

    • Read, comprehend, and follow instructions, with the ability to read/interpret blueprints

    • Make appropriate cutting setups, such as adjusting the laser beam's focal point and stopping location, indicative of candidates' experience level

    • Spot-check quality of work by periodically using measuring equipment and visual inspection

    • Detect and report defective, questionable, and damaged materials to your manager.

    • Team player willing to cross trained in a variety of work duties.

    • Wears appropriate personal protective equipment: steel toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, etc.

    • Detail oriented,Keep work areas clean.

    • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    Education & Qualification Requirement

    • Previous Laser Cutting Experience is REQUIRED

    • Previous experience with computer nesting programs, consistent with laser equipment

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

    • Must be able to pass a drug screening, background check and maintain drug free employment

    • Must report any safety risks, maintenance issues, or machine malfunctions to the manager right away through written or verbal communications.

    • Knowledge of various hand tools, measuring and guiding devices

    • Knowledge of gauges, dials, pedals, and other indicators on machinery, and have reasonable computerized machinery operational abilities.

    • Well organized and able to prioritize work activities and tasks, as well as those of fellow team members to achieve maximum productivity.

    • Physically fit with the ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100 pounds.

    You should be proficient in:

    • Machine Setups for Production Runs
    • Equipment Troubleshooting

    Machines & technologies you'll use:

    • CNC Laser Cutter (Trumpf, Amada, Cincinnati)
    • CNC Plasma Cutter
    • Manual Plasma Cutter

    Salary info:

    $25 - $27 / hr
