Experienced Legal Case Manager - Personal Injury
Our dynamic Personal Injury law firm is seeking an organized, self-starter to join our team as an Experienced Legal Case Manager and work alongside attorneys to achieve clients’ goals. We need someone who is an effective communicator, incredibly organized, and self-motivated. Our ideal applicant will have experience in Personal Injury case management and is skilled at drafting documents and conducting legal research. You will have the option to work at either the Decatur or Jonesboro office. Responsibilities: • Perform legal research to obtain documentation regarding health insurance, medical records, social security, and medical providers • Update clients and outside counsel on case status as requested • Review legal documents to ensure adherence to all legal requirements • Consult with attorneys and provide recommendations with regard to cost and time-effective ways to accomplish the client’s goals • Maintain and organize all case files, and information with regard to engagement, whether electronic or paper, in accordance with firm policies • Must be proficient at client intake, drafting demand letters, obtaining medical records and bills, negotiating settlements and bill reductions, client follow-ups, and all manner of representing Personal Injury victims prior to litigation • Ensure that the following is completed in a timely manner: • 1. Letters of Representation are sent to the appropriate parties • 2. Insurance claims are set up • 3. Dec pages are requested and received • 4. Police reports are ordered and received • 5. Medical records/bills are ordered and received • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and answering inquiries • Maintain organized and up-to-date case files, ensuring all documentation is properly filed • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases • Collaborate closely with attorneys and other POD members to develop case strategies • Provide administrative support to POD attorneys and perform other duties as required • Review legal documents to ensure adherence to all legal requirements • Monitor case progress and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks • Record the time spent on each task daily to ensure accurate tracking of activities pertaining to the projects Qualifications: • Exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral are needed • At least 5 years of experience drafting Personal Injury demand letters and conducting legal research is required • If you do not have experience drafting Personal Injury demand letters, please do not apply! • This is an in-office position. You must live in the Metro Atlanta area • Bilingual is preferred, but not required • Experience drafting legal documents and conducting legal research is vital • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and case management software • Ability to multitask and stay self-motivated • A 2-year degree and/or paralegal certification are acceptable, but a bachelor’s degree is preferred - High school diploma is required Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 yearly DOE
