Full time Medical Assistant needed for busy Honolulu Podiatrist Office.
We are a busy podiatrist office seeking a motivated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, compassionate, and detail-oriented individual who is comfortabe working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will be responsible for supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring a smooth, efficient experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities: Assist podiatrists during patient examinations and procedures, providing direct support and ensuring patient comfort. Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking patient histories, measuring vital signs, and preparing patient for exams. Administer injections, dressing changes, and other procedures as directed by the podiatrist. Sterilize and prepare medical instruments and equipment for use in procedures. Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal time managment for a busy office. Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, post-procedure care, and follow-up instructions Handle administrative duties such as answering phone calls, filing and managing correspondence. Maintain inventory of medical supplies and order stock as needed. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the treatment rooms and medical office areas.
Qualifications: Previous experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a podiatrist or orthopedic setting. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equilvalent) Knowledge of medical terminolgy, basic medical procedure, and patient care protocols. Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach. Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment with attention to detail and time management Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask efectively. Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
