    About Us:

    We are a well-established and growing Allergy practice with a unique focus on Food Allergy and Food Allergy treatment. We also see patients with a full range of Allergy and Immunology needs. As our practice grows, we are expanding our Patient Engagement team to ensure we are able to continue to offer our new and existing patient base excellent service and support.

    Position Overview:

    We are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical office administrative procedures including eligibility checking and new patient onboarding. Well-qualified candidates will have excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle a variety of administrative tasks efficiently and correctly with extra consideration for those with Allergy experience. Timeliness and attendance are imperative to the position.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner. Our goal is to treat each patient the way we wish to be treated when visiting providers.

    Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar.

    Verify and update patient information and insurance details.

    Perform check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting co-pays and processing payments.

    Manage and maintain electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and in a timely manner.

    Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address any scheduling issues.

    Handle phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication promptly and effectively.

    Process referrals, authorizations, and other paperwork as needed.

    Assist with filing, faxing, and other administrative tasks.

    Support other departments as needed.

    Qualifications:

    Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role in a healthcare setting.

    Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems (eClincialWorks a plus).

    Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.

    Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

    Clear concise communication skills both verbal and written.

    Microsoft Office experience and keyboard skills

    Schedule:

    The office is currently patient facing from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday and Thursday and 8:00 am to 6:30 pm Tuesday and Wednesday. The front desk team is scheduled at 7:30 am to prepare for the first patients of the day and may need to stay later than posted closing times due to patient flow. Our intent is to open on Fridays sometime in 2025.
