Experienced Multifamily Maintenance Technician - On Call Required
Wolff Properties is seeking an experienced apartment maintenance technician. The ideal candidate will possess at minimum 3 years apartment maintenance experience. Strong self-motivation and communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to make recommendations to better the overall community. EPA Universal and CPO certifications required. If you do not possess these certifications, consideration at a reduced wage may be considered. This position requires the ability to rotate on-call including weekends and holidays. The ability to be flexible with traveling to other communities in the portfolio is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Successful and efficient completion of work orders.
Extensive working knowledge of HVAC systems, including thru the wall, air handlers, heat kits and gas furnaces.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
Working knowledge of drywall repair and replacement.
Working knowledge of basic carpentry skills.
Maintaining property grounds.
Working as a team with maintenance and management team.
Identification and completion of necessary preventive maintenance.
Respond and handle on a daily basis multiple combinations of service requests, turns for market readies, preventive maintenance, capital projects and other duties as assigned.
Provide meaningful feedback to management on property deficiencies and recommendations on correction.
Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of general plumbing, electric, drywall, painting and apartment turns.
Knowledge and extensive experience with appliances, plumbing, HVAC units.
Knowledge and experience with general maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks.
MUST have a VALID driver’s license and be able to proof of in force car insurance; be dependable, clean and self-motivated.
Must pass a full background investigation.
EPA and CPO certifications required.
Must possess standard set of maintenance tools, hand and basic power tools and trade specific tools (i.e. HVAC gauges).
