SUMMARY
We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert in Electrical Design (PE) for a fast-growing manufacturing company in San Antonio, Texas! This company sparks innovation in Power Distribution Modules, Generator Enclosures, and E-Houses. With a charge for excellence, they design cutting-edge mission critical systems and energizing infrastructure worldwide.
This subject matter expert in Electrical Engineering will be responsible for designing Packaged Power systems, Including Electrical Houses that integrate Medium and High Voltage Switchgear applications, UPS systems, Access Control, HVAC Controls, Mechanical HVAC Systems design and Bacnet Integration. The ideal candidate should have fifteen years of experience in Electrical engineering, with a strong background in electrical design and systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Custom Design: Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and design custom solutions for generator enclosures and power distribution centers.
- Electrical Design: Develop electrical designs and systems for power distribution within enclosures, ensuring compliance with clients needs and following industry standards and regulations.
- Structural Design: Create structural designs for enclosures and tanks, considering factors such as load-bearing capacity, durability, and safety.
- HVAC Design: Assist in the coordination of equipment, schedules and ventilation schemes for cooling based on the geographic region, such power modules will be shipped to.
- Material Selection: Select appropriate materials for construction, taking into account factors like environmental conditions and client specifications.
- Bills of Material: Prepare accurate material lists for procurement and assist in development of part number creation.
- Project Management: Oversee the engineering phase of projects, ensuring designs are executed according to plan and specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the final products meet our high standards for performance and reliability.
- Documentation: Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and construction teams.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with industry regulations and codes, ensuring designs adhere to safety and environmental standards.
- Client Collaboration: Maintain open communication with clients throughout the design process, addressing any questions or concerns.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of fifteen years of engineering experience, preferably in the Mission Critical industry.
- Strong background in electrical design and systems.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and computer-aided design (AUTOCAD) software.
- Knowledge of structural analysis and materials selection.
- Project management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
