    Extended Learning Coordinator This role is specifically for Baltimore Montessori Public Charter School, however applications not selected for this role may be considered for other opportunities at Elev8.

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Extended Learning Coordinator is responsible for the successful implementation and management of out-of-school time (OST) programs at partner school, with school staff, community partners, students, and families to provide comprehensive services that support academic achievement and overall student well-being. This position will be responsible for ensuring that programming is aligned with youth development best practices, is responsive to the needs of students and families, and meets all grant and organizational requirements.

    Status Full-time, 40 hours

    Key Responsibilities:

    Program Development and Management:

    Design and oversee OST programs that meet the needs of the school community, with a focus on academic support, enrichment activities, and family engagement.

    Ensure programs are culturally relevant, inclusive, and foster an environment where every student feels valued.

    Community Engagement:

    Serve as the liaison between the school, families, and community partners, ensuring the OST programs address community needs.

    Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, service providers, and community members to enhance student and family resources.

    Data-Driven Decision Making:

    Collect, analyze, and report on student participation and program effectiveness to drive continuous improvement.

    Use data to identify and address barriers to student success, including academic challenges and social-emotional needs.

    Coordination with School Leadership:

    Collaborate with the school principal and leadership team to integrate OST programs with the school’s mission and academic goals.

    Participate in regular meetings with school staff to align OST activities with in-school learning and support holistic student development.

    Family Engagement:

    Develop strategies to actively engage families in the OST programs through regular communication, events, and involvement opportunities.

    Work with families to identify and connect them with resources to support learning at home.

    Resource Management:

    Manage the budget for OST programs, ensuring efficient use of funds in alignment with grant requirements and school priorities.

    Oversee the use of school facilities and resources for OST activities, ensuring accessibility and proper maintenance.

    Staff Supervision and Development:

    Recruit, train, and supervise OST program staff to ensure high-quality service delivery that meets student needs.

    Provide professional development opportunities for staff in areas like youth development and family engagement.

    Assist with and maintain the distribution and collection of student enrollment forms, attendance rosters, consent forms, and evaluation data.

    Manage facilities during the after-school and summer program.

    Compliance and Reporting:

    Ensure all OST programs comply with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and Family League of Baltimore (FLB) guidelines, grant requirements, and school policies.

    Prepare and submit required reports to MSDE and FLB, highlighting program outcomes and success stories.

    Attend grant-related meetings, staff meetings, conferences, and other mandatory network meetings to remain informed of program requirements and expectations.

    Continuous Improvement:

    Lead efforts to evaluate and enhance OST programming by seeking feedback from students, families, and staff.

    Stay current on best practices in OST programming and youth development, applying these insights to improve program effectiveness.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's or associate's degree in education, youth development, and/or a minimum of three (3) years relevant supervisory experience working in related field.

    Experience in program coordination, especially in educational or community-based settings.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.

    Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.

    Proficiency in data collection and analysis, with the ability to use data to inform decisions.

    Work Schedule: 40 hours/week to include some evenings and weekends as required by program activities.

    Compensation: $54,000 annual salary plus competitive benefits including generous paid time off, health benefits, company-paid life and disability benefits, as well as 403(b) retirement plan and employer contribution once eligibility criteria is met.
