    Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, you will be an active member of the Steering Committee and will effectively lead the Swissôtel Chicago Food & Beverage Operations Division, which consists of Breakfast Service, Amuse Lobby Lounge, 24/7 Amenity Store, and In Room Dining.

    Summary of Responsibilities:

    • Senior leader of the Food & Beverage Outlet Operations team

    • Responsible for Monthly Inventory

    • Demonstrate a commitment to personal guest service excellence

    • Ensure that Guest and Colleague concerns are resolved in a professional and timely manner

    • Review industry trends and competition for new and innovative product and service opportunities

    • Effective recruitment, selection, training and performance management for all positions within the department

    • Develop/update job descriptions, job task checklists, training manuals, systems and procedures for all positions and ensure they are clearly documented and easily accessible.

    • Develop a strong team through consistently effective leadership, operations and succession planning

    • Coach and mentor leaders and colleagues to allow them to exceed guest expectations and provide a path for career development within FRHI

    • Establish effective goals, measurements and action plans for the department in all pillars; Colleague Engagement, Guest Satisfaction and Financial results

    • Execute departmental Health & Safety Trainings

    • Adhere to the crisis management and business continuity plans for the department

    • Development of annual operations budget - expenses, staffing levels and productivity

    • Effective and timely interaction with all Hotel departments including participation and representation in hotel wide meetings / committees as required.

    Operational Duties

    • Ensure the proper opening and closing of all areas
    • Ensure all sites and VIP activities/reservations with the division are executed appropriately
    • Ensure the proper management of the Silverware system
    • Ensure all F&B Colleagues attend the appropriate Food Handlers Training
    • Maintaining bar and outlet brand standards
    • Maintaining health department standards including all required certifications
    • Maintaining liquor department standards
    • Dealing with any alleged food borne illness issues
    • Follow up with any guest review comments as required

    Marketing/Administrative Duties

    • Create programs to drive revenues in the outlets, including unique events throughout the year, seasonal programming for holidays, etc. to drive F&B revenue
    • Manage social media content on behalf of the outlets to drive revenues, awareness, and reputation of our F&B programming
    • Ensure the outlets are reviewing upcoming business volumes and posting positions accordingly
    • Participate in the budget process for your respective F&B outlets
    • Review and revise outlet and room service menus
    • Ensure all corporate programming is in place
    • Complete month end review for Amuse, 24/7 and In Room Dining
    • Conduct monthly departmental meetings
    • Create and distribute manager and colleague schedules
    • Ensure Payroll is submitted properly and on-time for each F&B department
    • Attend weekly resume review meetings and email summary / points to team
    • Attend REVMAX weekly meetings and present revenue driven promotions and ideas
    • Attend pre cons
    • Any other tasks that may be assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

    • 4 years F&B experience with minimum 2 years F&B Management experience
    • Working knowledge of In Room Dining, Serving & Bartending is an asset
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Highly motivated, organized, goal and results oriented individual who thrives under pressure
    • Proven ability to effectively lead, motivate and develop a team
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Silverware systems
