    Job Description

    A DAY IN THE LIFE AT FIJI WATER:

    • Manage the performance of the international carriers, freight forwarders and 3PL’s
    • Evaluate trade-offs between transportation cost, inventory cost and service levels.
    • Provide data analysis that drives service and cost savings through KPI’s and various metrics
    • Manage KPI have responsibility for performance management and day to day operations.
    • Coordinate logistics programs for international shipments while managing a good working relationship with import brokers, export brokers and forwarders.
    • Determine the most cost-effective, efficient, and competitive method regarding transportation, ocean carrier’s consolidation to quote and execute international shipments.
    • 100% compliance to government regulations for cross border activities.  Interpret laws, rules, regulations and prepare applications for export control
    • Drive productivity improvement for all international shipment processes and monitor results adjusting plans accordingly.
    • Provide written Standard Operating Procedures for all cross-border activities to include retention requirements at all FIJI 3PL Warehouse facilities.
    • Manage execution across various departments through effective planning, prioritizing, communication and most importantly, follow-up.
    • Propose solutions to meet shipment needs.  Operate proactively yet able to correct course of action when opportunities arise.
    • Plan and direct flow of more than 24.000 container bookings per year from the FIJI plant and Inbound to 3rd party warehouses.
    • Approve invoices and adhere to EAR filing AES per booking.
    • Oracle review of every export order to all markets.  Heavy communication with FIJI Plant, Neptune, sales, international agents, forwarders, planning, warehouse and carriers.
    • Resolve border crossing issues with appropriate brokers or distributors.  Implement process change as necessary guaranteeing pre-clearance using the PARS with all carriers from all origins.
    • Monthly report to manager on shipment volumes, cost, carrier performance and delivery tracking.
    • Maintain contract rate files and ensure spot quotes are added to long terms contracts. Obtain rates as needed from vendors for sales and marketing for market/competitor analysis.

    REPORTING AND PROJECTS:

    • Determine what charges we need to accrue for at the end of the month that will not be received in time for processing.  These need to be organized by account code and reported back to our Finance team for all trucking/brokerage/drayage invoices.
    • Coordinate with supplier A/R departments to ensure accuracy of invoices and month end estimates
    • Provide business insight into the monthly and quarterly results for transportation including forecasts
    • Support transportation monthly/quarterly business review process
    • Report outbound trucking cost per case, drayage cost per case, and brokerage cost per case to share with the team
    • Support overall supply chain planning, sales operations and expansion projects
    • Provide business insight into the monthly and quarterly results for transportation including forecasts
    • Support budgeting process for the transportation organization
    • Create reporting and communicate insight for Supply Chain leadership team including metric development and dashboards
    • Identify transportation cost and efficiency opportunities
    • Perform Ad-hoc analytics and financial decision support
    • The collection, organization and analysis of real-time and historical data to enhance the performance of Customer Service & Logistics.

    YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO FIJI WATER:

    • 3+ years of transportation, analytics, or supply chain experience.
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Supply Chain Management or related field
    • Good working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems and how to generate new reports
    • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Oracle, SAP and analytical skills.
    • High technical acumen with experience in data manipulation and visualization.
    • Ability to interface with other functional areas including Inventory Deployment, Customer Service and Project Teams.
    • Understanding of transportation management terms and concepts.
    • Proven problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think outside the box.
    • Ability to lead, influence and collaborate with peers.
    • Self-driven to look for opportunities and address issues.
    • International experience preferred
    • Travel Requirement 20-25%
    • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
