Group Exercise Instructor

The Silver Sneakers Instructor will lead members, in a group environment, through a pre-arranged format of exercises designed to enhance overall fitness, strength and endurance, while ensuring that the safety of the members is not compromised. The Silver Sneaker Instructor will also serve as a resource to educate members on various aspects of fitness. Pay will be based off of experience and will be adjusted accordingly.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Demonstrate the ability to move rhythmically to the beat of the music, including the ability to incorporate optimal usage of cueing, tempo, choreography, and safe transitional movement from one pattern to another.

Knowledge of safe exercise technique and group exercise principles.

Knowledge of basic physiology and body mechanics.

Performance of a variety of exercise routines.

Positive and effective interpersonal communication skills.

Silver Sneaker National Certification is required within 30 days.

Current CPR certification is required.

Physical demands include, but are not limited to the ability to lift light weights, bending, squatting, jumping, running, reaching, walking, hopping and spinning.

Stays current with fitness and exercise trends.

Need to provide your music.
