Responsibilities
Delegate tasks to restaurant staff and supervise their performance
Train new hires and inform staff of new policies
inventory and ordering, as needed
Manage dining reservations
Help staff resolve on-the-job challenges
Balance the cash at the end of the shift
Essential Cleaning duties
Ensure client satisfaction and gracefully handle any complaints
Open and/or close the restaurant
Inform the next Shift Manager about pending tasks
Report maintenance and training needs
Skills
Proven experience as a Shift Manager or relevant role in a restaurant
Good knowledge of restaurant operations
Availability to work different shifts, including nights and weekends (holidays are mandatory)
A customer service approach with the ability to manage complaints with professionalism (Customer is always right motto)
Excellent organizational skills
Team management abilities
Logical decision making and maintaining team structure
Duties include:
Overseeing all restaurant operations, guest and staff relations, staffing, scheduling, serving, delegating tasks to restaurant staff, table touching, guest relations, controlling ambience, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, ordering, inventory, social media posting.
