    FP&A Analyst – Job Description

    A national construction firm is seeking an FP&A Analyst to support the VP of Finance in delivering value-added financial analytics for its Solar division. This hands-on corporate finance role plays a key part in preparing forecasts, analyzing results, assisting in the budgeting process, and providing executive reporting. The position requires a cross-functional team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, thinks strategically, and fosters strong relationships across business units and management teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Aggregate and prepare various forecasts for a fast-growing enterprise, ensuring reconciliation with actual results.
    • Analyze financial and non-financial data to develop accurate forecasts.
    • Perform complex financial analysis, including sensitivity analysis, and provide sound recommendations.
    • Prepare ad-hoc reports and communicate findings to leadership.
    • Deliver timely and relevant financial insights to internal teams.
    • Assist in budget planning and forecasting processes.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
    • 1–2 years of experience in finance or Big Four accounting, with exposure to complex spreadsheet modeling.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to connect financial results to operational performance.
    • Knowledge of corporate finance and forecasting principles.
    • Experience analyzing data from both public and private sources.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a willingness to enhance skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain collaborative relationships across departments.
    • Experience in commercial or renewable energy construction is a plus.
